Literally, a bath room means a room with a bathtub or shower. However along with this equipment are harmful products, which you may take for granted considering that they are used eveyday.

And what are these dangerous bathroom products?

Read the warning label on your store brand toothpaste. Yes you put that in your mouth one, two, three times a day. There is a safer alternative. What about mouthwash? Have you read that warning label? Again I would love to tell you about a safer alternative.

To name a few, they are aerosols, disinfectant, drain cleaner, floor cleaner, hair color, hair spray, isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide , mildew remover, nail polish, nail polish remover, scouring powder and toilet cleaner. What makes these products dangerous? Well, let's take a look at how and why they are considered as dangerous products.

First reason is the harmful chemicals comprising those products. Starting from aerosols, chlorofluorocarbons are the dominant chemicals that pose the greatest danger in our environment as they destroy the ozone layer. Among the harmful substances used for the disinfectants and cleaners that we use almost everyday are ammonia, cresol and phenol. Skin contact with such substances can cause rashes and burns. And when inhaled, it can cause impairment of the tissues and organs such as the liver, kidney and lungs.

And how about the hair products that you commonly use such as hair color and hair spray? Lead acetate is the common substance found in each which is proven to irritate mucous membranes leading to unconsciousness and even death. Although considered as a germ killer, isopropyl alcohol is also considered as dangerous product as it is highly flammable.

To help you to not worry, why not opt for Green natural cleaning and hygiene products? Safe and green products and non toxic cleaners are now offered by health conscious companies. I would encourage you to look at the products that are in your bathroom right now. Take a minute and read the cautions and labels on the ones that are open and in use in your home and bath. Why do we continue to use the toxic products? We tell ourselves, t hey are available and no company would allow us to bring toxic products into our home where our families trust us to keep them safe. Would they? Think again, profits are their main concern.

Have you wondered why there is such an epidemic of allergies? Our bodies have a tolerance level for toxins and then it starts telling us we are killing it and we just take an allergy medication so it shuts up and we continue overloading our system.

Let's take a moment and consider an environment that is free from toxins and things harmful to our systems. I have been using a disinfectant that does not even require a child proof cap for several years now. It kills 99.9% of all germs. My home has been completely converted to g reen natural cleaning products and hygiene products. No one in my home has an allergy issue and I think that says volumes.
